From January 10th to 12th, 2014, the Puerto Rico East District held a NYI Holiness Retreat. The event took place at Ebenezer Camp in Cidra, with the participation of 80 young people, in addition to leaders.

The theme of the retreat was: “This Means War”. The theme Bible text was II Corinthians 10:3-5: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling strength, casting down arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

The activities were aimed at preparing young soldiers of the army of Christ to face the enemy forces. The young people were challenged to fully commit to the cause of Christ and be alert to the enemy’s sleight.

It is a blessing to see how our young Nazarenes are being led by their leaders, who are teaching them the importance of living in holiness. Let us pray this morning for the NYI in our Mesoamerica Region, lets pray for their leaders and their families, they are our church today.
