More than 50 young people from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala took part in a week full of learning, fellowship, and worship during the CREACOM Communications Camp held May 6–11.

A transformative experience with ministerial purpose.
Youth eager to learn about technology gathered for six intensive days at the Convention Center of the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Guatemala City for a one-of-a-kind experience: the CREACOM Communications Camp.

Together with a team from Olivet Nazarene University led by Brian Utter, Global Coordinator of World Mission Broadcast (WMB) for the Church of the Nazarene, participants explored various areas of communication, including radio, photography, podcasting, video, digital marketing, social media, and public speaking. The goal was clear: to equip them to share the gospel message in creative, relevant, and effective ways.

Training with vision and passion.
The event was supported by Carlos Salazar, regional communications coordinator, and Hugo Lucero, communications coordinator for the North Central Field. Both encouraged the young people to use their God-given gifts to communicate the good news of the Kingdom with excellence and commitment.

One of the most significant moments was the reopening of Nazarene Studios, a completely renewed space made possible by the collaborative efforts of WMB, Olivet Nazarene University, and the North Central Field of the Mesoamerica Region. The studio is set to serve as a hub for audiovisual production and training in support of the church’s mission.

Young leaders who inspire.
The impact of the training became evident quickly. Participants delivered high-quality communication projects after just a few days of learning. For many, it was their first time using professional equipment—yet they created content that was both powerful and edifying.

Answering the call.
Beyond technical training, daily devotionals provided meaningful times of spiritual reflection and renewal. Many youth responded to God’s call, committing to serving through this strategic ministry of communication.

A hopeful future.
Carlos Cordero, North Central field strategy coordinator (FSC), shared his enthusiasm and ongoing commitment to investing in the next generation:

“Our commitment is to share Jesus in every possible way, and we want to place these resources in the hands of young people to strengthen their growth and service in this valuable ministry.”
