From July 18th to July the 21st 2014, the Dominican NYI held its first national camp. An average of 150 young people from 5 districts of the country attended the event held at the facilities of the Dominican Nazarene Seminary.

BE – DO -GO, the Global NYI emphasis, was the central themes of the camp, the daily activities, devotional and services were developed under these themes challenging the Dominican Youth.

David Campos, French Field NMC Coordinator; Erika Chaves, missionary serving for Project Genesis, and Gaby Bustos, Meso Central Field NYI Coordinator participated in this event. Each one of them held a workshop with the following topics: BE, dealing Evangelism, DO, focusing on discipleship and GO, developing leaders. The youth was invited to live each of these emphases and work them into their NYI groups.

The young people received a workshop on sexuality “No excuses”, which challenged them to live with integrity, separated for God and waiting on His time.

“We had a time of great blessing, praise and worship filled with much happiness and joy. Both, the campers and leadership, thank God for the lessons learned, and we are confident that God will equally bless the next camp”.
