Over 35 children and 15 mothers and fathers, from the community of Moa, Holguín, in Cuba, attended “Children’s Community Impact”, carried out by Missionary Mobilization (MM) on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

During the activity, the children received a lesson on the importance of obedience through the story of Jonah. They also received food, candy, clothing, toys, and more. The pregnant women received a basket with items especially for them.

“This,” said Elba Duson, MM coordinator from the Central Field of Mesoamerica, “was possible due to the support of various church members, the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries district president and Luis Batista, District Superintendent.”

“We were amazed to see one life restored through the message,” said Catalina Peña, East Cuba MM coordinator.

“Doing missions in Cuba is a great challenge. Our MM team and I dream of continuing teaching our district that this type of events are possible,” said Peña. “Our God provides and I trust that he will continue providing the necessary strategies to carry out this ministry.”

The MM ministry asks Nazarenes to unite in prayer for Cuba and for the MM ministry, so that more leaders who are committed and ready to serve will be raised up. “We want MM to become a strong ministry in every district, that potential missionaries will be developed by every short, medium or long term opportunity to serve, “ said Elba Duson.
