An average of 150 young people from 5 districts of the country attended the event held at the facilities of the Dominican Nazarene Seminary. On June 13 and 14, 2014; in the city of Leon, Guanajuato, the NYI annual leader’s retreat, hosted in the Empress Club of the Mexico West District, was held. After celebrating Mexico’s victory against Cameroon, the young people began arriving to the venue. Just after 4:00 pm, the event called WALKING TALL was formally launched.
With Caribbean rhythm and dance, the Cuban NYI convention opened, with more than 350 delegates from the 2 newly organized districts. In the convention they received the book ” Flight Plan”, written by the NYI President and NYI Regional Coordinator, Rev. Milton Gay. The book is focused on developing youth leadership.
On January 10th to 12th, 2014, we conducted a NYI Holiness Retreat in a beautiful mountain in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico West District, the event was named “Connection Available” with its theme “Do not quench the Spirit” based on 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
