On October 6th, 2016, NCM Haiti reported on the state of the population and the Church of the Nazarene in the country; after category 4 Hurricane Mathew hit the southern part Haiti last Monday night. More than 1,125,402 people were affected. More than 350,000 people in need. 15,623 people were evacuated. 1,855 flooded houses. 114
In her update of the state of Haiti, sent on October 10th, 2016, by the missionary Erika Chaves of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, she said that David Campos, her husband and Haiti NCM Coordinator is working with the superintendent of the newly formed Grand-Anse district, Joseph Esperance, doing surveys and checking the state of the churches.
