This Friday the first phase of Encuentro 2018 ended in Costa Rica and Guatemala with a celebration service in both countries. Some 350 youth from the United States and Canada arrived to Guatemala as part of the ENCUENTRO 2018 event happening in the Mesoamerica Region happening June 30 – July 7 and July 7 – July 14. The groups will be serving both weeks along with local volunteers in 18 churches from the Guatemala Central District.
During the months of May and June, the Mexico Gulf District Nazarene Missions International (NMI) held 4 children’s cross-cultural orientations for kids between the ages of 4 and 14. More than 100 children from the 4 zones of the district attended. The camp was intended to teach children about the missionary work of the Church
Eighty-five volunteer missionaries served through Project Paul in the Mexico Huasteca District April 8 – May 6. They saw 228 people confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The zones that participated were: Sierra de Hidalgo Zone: 42 volunteer missionaries, 119 new converts Xilitla Zone: 11 volunteer missionaries, 25 new converts West Zone: 14 volunteer
