During the last week of July, a group of Work and Witness, comprised of 29 people from Greenwood, South Carolina, visited New Vision Church of the Nazarene in north Guatemala to bless them through various activities. These included repairs and painting of the sanctuary, a medical journey and activities with 60 children of “Pan Project”,
Hundreds of families in the communities of Rioja, Rodeo, Los Ranchos, Hermanos Martinez and La Cruz, Nicaragua were affected by a severe drought. Two church-type missions in the Nicaragua North District, “Cairo” and “Hermanos Martínez” are currently building sanctuaries to meet in worship and learn more about the Lord. In answer to their prayers, they recently received two groups from churches in the United States who helped in the construction and also in the evangelism in these communities.
The Church of the Nazarene in the sector 18 of Somoto began the construction of their temple. For two years, the congregation met in a house that is now in the process of being sold.
