As a result of the changes in emphases in NMI in the Mesoamerica Region, regional leaders have held training events for NMI leadership in order to better develop the ministry. Many local Churches of the Nazarene in the Mesoamerica Region are challenging their congregations to be generous and give to the World Evangelism Fund (WEF) in creative ways. One of these churches is the El Progresso Church of the Nazarene in Panama. They proposed raising a thousand dollar offering for the WEF between October 2017
This year the evangelism ministry in Costa Rica North has focused on training to evangelize in their communities. Using Maximum Missions the churches have evangelized in their communities this year, including the communities of: Cañas Dulces in Liberia, Upala, Ciudad Quesada, Muelle, Tres y Tres in Santa Rosa, Cabullal in Poas, and La Cruz Guanacaste.
Using the theme “Riches in Christ,” Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) from the two districts in Cuba held a camp for pastors’ children and leaders from the Church of the Nazarene in Cuba from July 26-28 at the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Punta Brava, La Lisa, Cuba.
