United in His presence, God renews vision, character, and mission.
Panama City hosted the Mesoamerica Region’s Superintendents’ Retreat, “Celebrad,” (Celebrate) held October 20–23, 2025, at the Marriott Albrook Mall Hotel. The gathering brought together district superintendents and their spouses for worship, teaching, and fellowship with the purpose of inspiring and renewing district leadership—strengthening family life, unity in mission, and the discipleship of new generations.
A celebration that formed and encouraged
Across the days, the program wove together devotionals, sermons, ministry moments, and practical conversations. The content emphasized honoring God in private and at home, walking in unity for mission, and impacting emerging generations—addressing pastoral family care, wise district leadership, future-oriented planning, church multiplication, and the rise of new leaders.
Gratitude and recognition
A moving highlight was the time of appreciation for Dr. Carlos Sáenz and his family for his leadership as Regional Director. Dr. Sáenz has led the Mesoamerica Region for 20 years, a ministry that concludes on October 31, 2025. During the dedication, General Superintendent Dr. Gustavo Crocker said, “Your passion and commitment have left a lasting impact on hundreds and thousands of lives. Thanks to your vision and tireless efforts, you have strengthened the mission, inspiring others to join in sharing the love and message of Christ…”
“All the districts present brought something for the regional director’s family as a token of gratitude—from the newest to the oldest,” noted Ana Zoila Díaz, NDI Regional Coordinator and part of the event’s organizing team.
Testimonies that confirm the fruit
“Being together in worship and receiving the Word of God… marked a before and after in my life,” shared Nancy Maldonado, District Superintendent of Puerto Rico West.
“The retreat reminded us that the church and the district belong to the Lord… and that we can prepare someone to take the baton,” added Jerome Lozano, District Superintendent of Belize South.
Impact and projection
Superintendents return to their districts with tools for family care, administrative leadership with pastoral sensitivity, strategic planning, and the formation of new generations of leaders. The retreat renewed commitments to advance in unity, expand the mission, and cultivate a discipling and multiplying culture in every church.
