\u201cWhere Christ shines, hope is reborn.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The screening of \u201cJES\u00daS, LUZ DEL MUNDO\u201d<\/em> (Jesus, Light of the World<\/em>), organized by the Costa Rica Central District NDI and district ministries, brought together 140 people and resulted in eight decisions<\/strong> for salvation. Seven churches participated, inviting their members and friends, and helping to strengthen ongoing discipleship efforts.<\/p>\n

The celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, October 4, 2025<\/strong>, at Cin\u00e9polis, Plaza Lincoln<\/strong> (Moravia, San Jos\u00e9, Costa Rica), the Costa Rica Central NDI coordinated a screening<\/strong>, together with VID, NazKids, Crecer, Discipleship and Coffee<\/strong>, of \u201cJES\u00daS LUZ DEL MUNDO\u201d <\/strong>(Jesus Light of the World).<\/em> 140 people attended<\/strong>, coming from 5 Nazarene churches<\/strong> and 2 invited guest churches<\/strong>, in an atmosphere of worship, fellowship, and mission focus.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/strong><\/p>\n

The welcome included a family photo by the official movie poster<\/strong> to memorialize the event. In the theater, Yorleny Herz (director of Crecer)<\/strong> gave a brief introduction based on John 8:12<\/strong>, highlighting the film\u2019s purpose for everyday life. Gospel tracts were shared<\/strong>, there was reflection after the screening<\/strong> and a prayer of faith<\/strong>; in addition, those who accepted Jesus<\/strong> received a commemorative gift<\/strong> to mark this step in their spiritual journey.<\/p>\n

Ministries and leaders who served<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event was organized and supported by district teams: Rebeca Mart\u00ednez Abarca <\/strong>(NDI Director), Wilberth Picado (VID Director \u2013 Men in the Image of God), Aleida Rojas <\/strong>(NazKids Director), Yorleny <\/strong>Herz<\/strong> (Crecer Director \u2013 women\u2019s ministry), Leyla Ram\u00edrez <\/strong>(Discipleship Director), and Adriana Varela & Manuel <\/strong>Amador<\/strong> (Caf\u00e9 Directors).<\/p>\n

Fruit and follow-up<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eight people accepted the Lord<\/strong>, and the evangelism and discipleship teams coordinated personal prayer, contact registration<\/strong>, and connection to groups\/visits<\/strong>, ensuring support from and roots in the local church<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had been going through very difficult weeks\u2026 I felt without hope or direction\u2026 my surprise was that Jesus spoke to me through the film\u2026 I accepted Jesus into my heart and today I see my life with a future full of hope.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Daniel Ismael Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it would be very childish\u2026 however, I found it to be an excellent production\u2026 it captures the attention of both children and adults\u2026 and it presents the central message wonderfully.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Aleida Rojas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will keep lighting screens and hearts.<\/strong> The district will strengthen follow-up groups<\/strong>, visits<\/strong>, and opportunities to serve<\/strong>, so that each decision becomes a transformed life<\/strong>. As Scripture reminds us: \u201cI am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.\u201d<\/em> (John 8:12, NIV).<\/p>\n

The Church keeps moving because Christ keeps working.<\/strong><\/p>\n
