A gathering that sowed missionary passion in the children of the South District of Mexico.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The celebration
\n<\/strong>With joy and gratitude, on June 20\u201321, 2025<\/strong>, the first Children\u2019s Missionary Orientation Camp (COMI)<\/strong> was held in the Frailesca zone<\/strong> of the South District of Mexico<\/strong>, under the theme \u201cWith missionary children, Jesus will reach the whole world.\u201d<\/em>\u2028The event took place at Sal\u00f3n Quinta Bel\u00e9n<\/strong>, in the Galeana neighborhood of Villaflores, Chiapas<\/strong>, marking a milestone in missionary work with children in the region.<\/p>\n

Participation and purpose
\n<\/strong>Thanks to the collaboration of local churches and enthusiastic promotion, 150 children<\/strong> from 16 churches<\/strong> participated, accompanied by 38 caregivers, 34 collaborators, and 3 district visitors<\/strong>, for a total of 222 attendees<\/strong>. Over two days, the children were trained, encouraged, and oriented in their missionary calling<\/strong>, recognizing that mission begins at home, in the community, and reaches to the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n

Training and workshops
\n<\/strong>The camp featured the valuable participation of several workshop leaders<\/strong> who shared with passion and commitment. Among them was Missionary Jennifer Mart\u00ednez V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, who taught \u201cWhat Is Missions?\u201d<\/em> and shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an enriching time for the boys and girls. They understood the need to fulfill the mission of sharing the gospel of Christ and showed a willingness to attend to the specific missions God has for each one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other topics included \u201cIntegral Mission,\u201d<\/strong> \u201cWhat Do I Need to Know to Be a Missionary?\u201d<\/strong> \u201cKnowing the Reality of the World,\u201d<\/strong> \u201cUrban Missionaries,\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cDomestic Missionaries,\u201d<\/strong> which helped strengthen a sense of calling and service.<\/p>\n

Experiences and fruit
\n<\/strong>Throughout the camp there were moments of Bible teaching, praise, dynamics, prayer, and creative activities<\/strong>, helping the children understand their role in the global mission of the Church. The atmosphere was one of joy, fellowship, and spiritual growth<\/strong>. Many children expressed their desire to serve God in their churches, communities, and even in other cultures<\/strong>, showing sensitivity to God\u2019s call from an early age.<\/p>\n
