Christ builds His Church, and His servants respond in obedience, love, and service.<\/em><\/p>\n

Western District of El Salvador\u00a0<\/strong>formally recognizes the \u201cFraternidad Evang\u00e9lica\u201d congregation and welcomes 15 new members<\/strong>, marking a key step forward for the Nazarene mission in La Libertad, El Salvador<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n

On June 29, 2025, in Nuevo Cuscatl\u00e1n (La Libertad, El Salvador), the organization service for the Church of the Nazarene in Nuevo Cuscatl\u00e1n, \u201cFraternidad Evang\u00e9lica,\u201d<\/strong> was held. With the presence of District Superintendent Rev. Nelson Valencia<\/strong>, district pastors, and members of the District Advisory Board<\/strong>, the congregation was officially organized<\/strong> and 15 believers<\/strong> were received into membership. Approximately 30 people<\/strong> attended.<\/p>\n

Memory and Gratitude<\/strong><\/p>\n

The work began as a preaching point in June 2024<\/strong>, with the support of the Western District. One year later, on June 29, 2025<\/strong>, the organization service<\/strong> took place, which included: Scripture reading (Acts 2:40\u201347) led by Pastor Humberto Alf\u00e9rez, worship with Pastor Mario Romero, a welcome by Pastor Ar\u00edstides Figueroa, the sermon by District Superintendent Rev. Nelson Valencia, and the official ceremony introducing the pastoral team and local church board, as well as the reception of 15 members<\/strong>. Members of the District Advisory Board<\/strong> were also present.<\/p>\n

A strong pastoral team<\/strong> undergirds the church\u2019s growth: Lead Pastor Humberto Alf\u00e9rez (over 30 years in the faith; former active member in Santa Tecla; B.A. in Theological Education, English teacher). He is married to Mirna de Alf\u00e9rez; they have two married children. The team also includes Administrative Pastor Ar\u00edstides Figueroa, Evangelism and Church Planting Pastor Mario Romero, and Youth Pastor and NYI President Andy Quinte\u00f1o.<\/p>\n
