{"id":82940,"date":"2025-01-30T12:55:38","date_gmt":"2025-01-30T18:55:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/?p=82940"},"modified":"2025-01-30T12:55:38","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T18:55:38","slug":"nmi-leaders-trained-to-advance-the-global-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/nmi-leaders-trained-to-advance-the-global-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"NMI Leaders Trained to Advance the Global Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From January 16 to 18, more than 250 leaders of Nazarene Missions International (NMI), pastors, and district superintendents from along Mexico\u2019s southern border gathered in Tapachula, Chiapas, to strengthen their training in missions. Representing eight districts (South, South Border, South Pacific, Oaxaca, Oaxaca Northwest, East, and Olmeca), attendees renewed their commitment to global evangelism.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, key topics were addressed, including &#8220;What We Do, How We Do It, and Why We Do It&#8221; in the NMI ministry, NMI&#8217;s identity statement, the importance of involving children and youth in missions, and the present and future impact of the movement. They also emphasized the significance of offerings, particularly the World Evangelism Fund (WEF), as a cornerstone in expanding God&#8217;s Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Erika Chaves, Missions Mobilization Coordinator, led a session on the Genesis Initiative, a project aimed at planting churches in cities and islands with little Nazarene presence in the Mesoamerica region. She highlighted the importance of local churches supporting missionaries working in these challenging contexts.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jorge C\u00f3rdova, Mexico Field Strategy Coordinator, led the biblical meditation, while workshops were conducted by Jennifer Staudt, Global NMI Projects Coordinator; Ana Mar\u00eda Crocker, Regional NMI Coordinator; Sara Cetino de D\u00edaz, Mesoamerica NMI; and Erika Chaves.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most significant moments of the event was the recognition of each district for their support of the WEF. The South District received special recognition as the highest contributor in the entire Mesoamerica region.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These training sessions are essential to update our leaders&#8217; knowledge and reinforce our mission of being the advocate for missions in every local church,\u201d said regional NMI coordinator Ana Mar\u00eda Crocker. \u201cNMI fosters a missionary spirit and mobilizes believers into action, impacting lives worldwide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. C\u00f3rdova inspired participants with a call to service. &#8220;Every day is an opportunity to serve. NMI gives us the chance to do so through prayer, generosity, and action,\u201d he said. \u201cServing means stepping out of our comfort zone and dedicating our time and effort. A life without service has no meaning because true greatness lies in serving.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The event was organized by Rev.
