Since its establishment on the island in 2015, the church has grown to a congregation of 70 members, which was officially recognized in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>On March 1, Salvadoran missionaries Deysi and Roger Lemus will travel to Cura\u00e7ao to assume a dual role: serving as pastors and acting as trainers for the local church. \u201cWe ask for your prayers for our family,\u201d said Roger Lemus. \u201cPray that God grants us grace and wisdom, and above all, a constant message of hope and the power of the gospel that transforms lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the same day, Mexican missionary Ren\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez will also depart for Cura\u00e7ao, focusing on evangelism and community development. Ren\u00e9 has extensive experience serving God since childhood and has held various ministerial roles, including NYI, evangelism, and leadership development. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as a missionary with the Genesis project and has held positions as Missionary Mobilization coordinator and Training Center coordinator in the Mexico Area.<\/p>\n<p>Ren\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez has asked us to join him in prayer for the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>God\u2019s guidance in his life to serve Him better.<\/li>\n<li>Wisdom and vision for the ministry.<\/li>\n<li>Grace in the places where he will be sent.<\/li>\n<li>The people who will hear God\u2019s word and experience transformation in their lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the Caribbean Area Strategy Coordinator, Rev. Alphonso Porter, has requested prayer support for the following needs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>God\u2019s wisdom to minister effectively to the multilingual population of Cura\u00e7ao.<\/li>\n<li>The Lord\u2019s intervention in the process of purchasing a property for the church and that<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>God may will provide an appropriate place for services to be held.<br \/>\nThis new chapter in the mission of the Church of the Nazarene in Cura\u00e7ao represents a significant step toward spiritual and community growth on the island.
