{"id":82191,"date":"2024-11-23T12:28:07","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T18:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/?p=82191"},"modified":"2024-11-23T12:28:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-23T18:28:07","slug":"costa-rica-church-impacts-community-with-evangelistic-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/costa-rica-church-impacts-community-with-evangelistic-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Costa Rica church impacts community with evangelistic events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In October 2024, <em>Casa de Oraci\u00f3n Iglesia del Nazareno<\/em> in San Jos\u00e9, Costa Rica, conducted two impactful evangelistic activities as part of its urban evangelism strategy. These initiatives aim to bring the message of hope and salvation to the community using innovative and accessible approaches for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>The first of these events was \u201cLet\u2019s Go to the Movies.\u201d The members of <em>Casa de Oraci\u00f3n<\/em> invited their friends and other sister churches to the cinema to watch the film <em>The Forge<\/em>. This film transmits values \u200b\u200bsuch as faith, prayer, communication, compassion, and humility, which challenge believers to share their faith and disciple others.<\/p>\n<p>This event, coordinated by David Ramirez, leader of evangelism and missions at <em>Casa de Oraci\u00f3n<\/em>, was considered a huge success, with more than 120 attendees. In addition, many decided to follow Christ or renew their commitment to God.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGlory to God, what a night!\u201d commented Pastor Hugo Miranda from <em>Casa de Oraci\u00f3n<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first MIES (My Special Guest) activity, where members invited non-Christians to share the love of God with them.<\/p>\n<p>The second evangelistic event was held at the end of October at the Juan Flores School. Under the name \u201cStart Your Journey \u2013 Thanksgiving,\u201d more than 60 sixth-grade students were reached with a message of values, teamwork, friendship, and recreational activities. Held in collaboration with ICTHUS Costa Rica, the evangelistic event\u00a0also opened doors for future talks with parents and the development of values \u200b\u200bin the educational community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese initiatives will be a constant part of our urban evangelism strategy. We have a great challenge on our hands,\u201d Miranda said. \u201cWe appreciate your prayers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also thanked the district superintendent, Sirlene Bustos, and the entire team of district pastors who joined the vision for their support.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout these events, <em>Casa de Oraci\u00f3n<\/em> has demonstrated its commitment to the call to share the gospel in a creative
