{"id":81754,"date":"2024-10-18T18:25:09","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T00:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/?p=81754"},"modified":"2024-10-18T20:36:16","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T02:36:16","slug":"ministers-and-health-professionals-attend-compassion-and-health-serving-through-your-profession-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/ministers-and-health-professionals-attend-compassion-and-health-serving-through-your-profession-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministers and Health Professionals Attend \u201cCompassion and Health, Serving Through Your Profession\u201d Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 60 ministers and health professionals were part of the first edition of the \u201cCompassion and Health, Serving Through Your Profession\u201d Conference in Guatemala, organized by Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) in the North Central field of Mesoamerica.<\/p>\n<p>From October 4-6 leaders of the 13 field districts received tools to respond to the issues and needs they have in their countries from a preventative perspective. Some of the topics were: caring for the health of ministers and pastors, mental health of the church, community health evangelism, oral health and prevention, and the importance of children\u2019s ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The topics were presented by Doctors Georgina Rivas, Helmer Ju\u00e1rez, Ren\u00e9 Rivas, Juan D\u00edaz and by Toty Mendoza. The ministers presenting were Cesar Ju\u00e1rez, Rosario Xuc, David Campos, and D\u00e1maris Kellogg.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. David Campos, regional NCM coordinator, challenged participants to share the church\u2019s resources generously with their communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think God for the districts\u2019 participation. As a church we were challenged to see health in a comprehensive way,\u201d said Damaris Kellogg, NCM coordinator of the North Central field of Mesoamerica. \u201dIt is my prayer that everything
