The congregation comprises 31 members in full communion and more than 25 associates.<\/p>\n<p>La Gracia becomes the 110th congregation in the district. The &#8220;mother&#8221; church is the Agua Caliente Church of the Nazarene located in the city of Cahabon.<\/p>\n<p>The name &#8220;La Gracia&#8221; was given to the new congregation because it was established during a study of The Journey of Grace that recently took place over 36 days of fasting, prayer, preaching, and discipleship in the district.<\/p>\n<p>District superintendent Reverend Francisco Cho said that the church members and the pastor attest to God&#8217;s faithfulness to them since the community where the new church is located is opposed to the evangelical faith and said that they have experienced varying types of persecution, even death threats. &#8220;God has shown His love and protection to the church so they have seen great wonders, conversions, and healing miracles,&#8221; Cho said.<\/p>\n<p>During its establishment, the superintendent presented the pastor with the flag of the Church of the Nazarene challenging him to preach holiness and salvation and thus be a church that takes the Grace of God to the entire population. &#8220;It was an emotional and special moment,&#8221; Cho said.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the district ministry presidents accompanied the superintendent to organize the NMI, NYI, SDMI, and Evangelism ministries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We give glory to God for this blessing as we continue to navigate The Journey of Grace. The establishment of the Gracia Church during a time of prayer, fasting, preaching, and discipleship will forever be remembered as a historical moment,&#8221; said Cho.<\/p>\n<p>Source: Reverend
