{"id":70600,"date":"2021-08-23T13:02:39","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T19:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/?p=70600"},"modified":"2021-08-23T13:02:39","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T19:02:39","slug":"more-than-500-youth-connected-for-link-to-celebrate-world-youth-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/more-than-500-youth-connected-for-link-to-celebrate-world-youth-day\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 500 youth connected for \u201cLINK\u201d to celebrate World Youth Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 500 young people from the Mesoamerica Church of the Nazarene celebrated World Youth Day in an online event called \u201cLINK\u201d on August 12.<\/p>\n<p>The 5 fields of the region; Mexico, North Central, Central, Caribbean and Haiti were represented.\u00a0 The event was held in 3 different languages \u200b\u200b(Spanish, English and French) through Zoom and Facebook Live, and lasted 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the event was to generate a space and opportunity to create a connection in a virtual way.\u00a0 In addition, invite and promote the union and connection between the different generations that make up the regional Nazarene Youth International (NYI).<\/p>\n<p>Participants heard from Dr. Milton Gay, regional NYI and Evangelism coordinator, about generational change, and all that God wants to do through the youth leaders to serve, guide, and accompany the new generation of teens.\u00a0 The group was motivated to be part of a generation that grows and accompanies others in their journey with God, through mentoring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this decade, the Mesoamerica NYI has a new approach and vision, it is paying attention to the care of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17,\u201d said Ada Garc\u00eda, who is part of the Mesoamerica NYI team.\u00a0 So, in this celebration, this group of teens were welcomed.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration included special songs from the Mexico and Haiti Fields, activities, and important announcements of upcoming activities and available resources.\u00a0 Also Rev.
