On October 21, the plans to open the Nicaragua campus of the Guatemala Nazarene Theological Seminary moved one step forward.<\/p>\n
The Nazarene Bible Institute in San Jorge, Rivas, Nicaragua, met with the Board of Regents (composed of the Nicaraguan district superintendents); consultant Dr. Roberto Hogdson; representatives of the Guatemala Nazarene Theological Seminary, including the rector, Rev. Ulises Solis; chaplain Ernesto Bello, and Academic Director Franlym Pe\u00f1a.\u00a0 The goal of the meeting was to continue working on the plans to open a satellite campus of the Guatemala Nazarene Theological Seminary in Nicaragua. For Nicaraguans, it is a reopening of the Nazarene Bible Institute.<\/p>\n
In this meeting the group established the prerequisites for student admission and the student selection process. They also approved the 2020 curriculum, and established and approved the annual budget for the campus.<\/p>\n
The goal is to begin with an opening celebration service on January 5, 2020, with 12 students from the four districts in Nicaragua.\u00a0 The leadership team is searching for sponsors, both Nicaraguan and otherwise, to support the students in their studies.<\/p>\n
