More than 250 young people from Puerto Rico met from August 9 to 11 to hold their national camp with the theme: \u201cHave You Decided?\u201d<\/p>\n
During the weekend, they had conversations around the decisions they must make daily and how those decisions affect them. \u201cWe were able to reflect and understand that choices like choosing where to spend a Friday night, whom we decided to love, etc., those choices hav a huge impact on our lives,\u201d said Alanys Plaza, District Communications Coordinator.<\/p>\n
The youth participated in a variety of activities including preaching, workshops, devotionals, interactive fun experiences like “Twin Day,” and a special time of Holy Communion.<\/p>\n
The preaching of the Word was by Pastor Ricardo Gonz\u00e1lez, Keropi S\u00e1nchez, Pastor Nancy Maldonado, Chantal Rodr\u00edguez and the RUACH band.<\/p>\n
The camp was led by Steven Torres, NYI President of the Western District and Imer Mart\u00edn, NYI President of the Eastern District, both together with their ministry teams; also with the support of the two District Superintendents, Marta Gonz\u00e1lez, (West) and Andr\u00e9s Hern\u00e1ndez (East).<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end, the young people were inspired and decided to follow and serve the Lord, which was the purpose of the camp. And as always, the Lord does not finish surprising\u2026We left renewed and focused for future decision making; in this way we will walk firmly by His side,\u201dAlanys Plaza commented.<\/p>\n
