{"id":56067,"date":"2019-05-06T11:16:24","date_gmt":"2019-05-06T17:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/?p=56067"},"modified":"2019-05-06T11:16:24","modified_gmt":"2019-05-06T17:16:24","slug":"mexico-oaxaca-district-ministers-to-4-communities-with-medical-services-and-childrens-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/mexico-oaxaca-district-ministers-to-4-communities-with-medical-services-and-childrens-ministry\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexico Oaxaca District Ministers to 4 Communities With Medical Services and Children\u00b4s Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) in the Mexico Oaxaca District gathered 20 volunteers to run a medical outreach April 22-26 in the sierra of Ixtepec, Oaxaca.<\/p>\n<p>The team included health professionals, volunteers for children\u2019s ministry, and District Superintendent Rev. Nicol\u00e1s R\u00edos Guzm\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>Over the five days, the group worked alongside local churches in the communities of: La Cumbre, Guevea de Humboldt, Santa Mar\u00eda Guienagati and La Chiviz\u00e1.\u00a0 They offered medical checks, glucose checks, dental consultations, haircuts, and children\u2019s ministry.\u00a0 This is the first time the Oaxaca District has offered a medical clinic with this combination of services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that bodily health is important, but we believe that spiritual health is even more important.\u00a0 That is why we were very intentional in evangelism, not just with adults but also with children,\u201d District NCM Coordinator N\u00e9stor A. L\u00f3pez said.<\/p>\n<p>Two teachers led the children\u2019s ministry team.\u00a0 They adapted a program that used a circuit of stations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were able to minister to many children, and to see their surprised faces when they met (using a mirror) a special person created by God.\u00a0 (That moment) really filled our hearts,\u201d Lopez said. \u201c We are so grateful to God for the favor demonstrated in our lives, with the churches and with every person we met. To God be the glory!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During these four days 50 people gave their lives to the Lord and 4 were reconciled to him.<\/p>\n<p>Source: N\u00e9stor A.
