The Trinidad and Tobago District NMI hosted 52 children at a Cross Cultural Orientation for Children on April 12 during the annual Children\u2019s Bible Camp at the Victory Heights Bible Camp Site in Arouca.<\/p>\n
The goal was to educate children about missions, inspire a passion for missions and encourage them to participate in praying for and giving to missions.<\/p>\n
The event was centered on a “Mission Cruise” theme with four ports of call: Missions, Prayer, Work and Witness and Craft. Each child received a \u201cpassport,\u201d which was stamped after each port.<\/p>\n
Several ports highlighted the life and ministry of the Carrim family, who serve as missionaries from Trinidad and Tobago in South Africa. In the Work and Witness port, they learned about how the Trinidad and Tobago District served in Dominica after a devastating hurricane in 2017 and the plans to return this year.<\/p>\n
The children made their own sailor hats during the craft time and played games like \u201cshark in the water.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that God would have touched the hearts of the children through this CCO, encouraging them to not only be followers of Jesus but become involved in Missions,\u201d said Carol Garner-Dupigny, District N.M.I. Children’s Coordinator.<\/p>\n
