December 3, 2017 was a day to remember in the history of the evangelical church in Cuba. During two live broadcasts (at 8:00 am and 10:00 pm) on the airways of CMBF National Music Radio of Cuba, Dr. Rub\u00e9n Fern\u00e1ndez, originally from Argentina, shared the Word of God, becoming the first non-Cuban evangelical to preach on cuban radio since the revolution in 1959.<\/p>\n
It all started two years before, when a high government official working in the religious matters area heard Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez preach at a graduation in Havana. That same day, she commented to the leaders of the Council of Churches and the United Bible Societies sitting beside her: \u201cHe should be invited to preach on the radio.\u201d The technicality was that until that moment, only Cubans were invited to do it.<\/p>\n
The program which is transmitted once a month is called \u201cGospel Marching Forward\u201d and the topic of Dr. Fern\u00e1ndez\u2019s message was \u201cThe Ministry of Reconciliation,\u201d based on 2 Corinthians 5.<\/p>\n
We give God thanks for this historic opportunity our institution was able to take part of, sharing with the Cuban people the message of hope that Jesus brings to all of humanity.<\/p>\n
