On Saturday August 22nd<\/sup>, 2015, the leadership of the church in Nicaragua, including North Central Field Youth leaders, were invited to present the work plan for the Nazarene Regional Youth Congress, “INDESTRUCTIBLE 2016”. The congress will be held in Nicaragua from July 19th<\/sup> to July 23rd <\/sup>2016. A total of 78 people showed their support and willingness to serve by being present. Together, they worshiped God and listened to the Word, shared by the regional director Dr. Carlos Saenz, who challenged the audience to have a great vision for this event, to trust that God will provide the resources and above all God will do great things in this generation of young people. In addition, attendees heard the work plan for Mesoamerica NYI, shared by Regional NYI coordinator, Rev. Milton Gay.<\/p>\n

Among those invited to this meeting were Pastors Ed Belzer<\/a> and Clint Tafoya<\/a> of the First Church of the Nazarene in Colorado Springs, United States, who are committed to this project and will be part of the re-launch of the GENESIS Project and the planting of three new churches in the Nicaragua Central District.<\/p>\n

The four district superintendents in Nicaragua, along with a leadership team were also present. They will be the ones giving momentum to the congress and are already making arrangement for all attendees. They pledged to open the doors of their churches to receive delegations traveling by land and to also to support with all of their resources and be a blessing to this great event.<\/p>\n

Odily Diaz, regional youth leader and part of the organizing team gave us the following information:<\/p>\n

Why Nicaragua?<\/strong> Nicaragua has an amazing social and ecclesiastical history. The Nicaraguans are developing after a war that lasted more than 10 years. Today, it is the safest country in the Americas. Young Nicaraguans will be impacted with the presence of all the young Nazarenes from the region, because people are willing to grow, to invest and share with others, work on planting three new churches and the leadership is willing to provide the same track.<\/p>\n

Because of its history, July 19th<\/sup> is a holiday in Managua where there are demonstrations. Due to this, the Nicaraguans brothers are willing to receive the delegations prior to this day, it is important to travel before this date. The hotel check in date will be Tuesday, July 19th<\/sup> , starting at 11:00 am with a welcome lunch. The conference will end on Saturday July 23rd<\/sup> at 2:00 pm.<\/p>\n

All countries and delegations wishing to go sightseeing before or after, should communicate with each coordinator because all the churches in Nicaragua have availability to receive them, but arrangements must be made in advance.<\/p>\n

The \u201cINDESTRUCTIBLE\u201d Regional Congress is based on Acts 5:39, it will be a festivity full of God’s Word, worship, praise, service, fellowship, learning and consecration. We will have the Regional Youth Bible Quiz competition, concert, plenary, workshops, forums, Maximum Mission, games, regional market and many more surprises.<\/p>\n

Among the servants responsible for the plenaries are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr.<\/strong> Felix Ortiz<\/strong><\/a> and his<\/strong> wife<\/strong> Sara Bonet<\/strong><\/a> ,<\/strong> who have worked since 1979 with the Agape organization, known as Campus Crusade. They have focused on leadership training and development in Spain, Europe and many countries in Latin America. Brother Felix is \u200b\u200bthe author of books on training youth leaders, including Raices (Roots) and Pastoral Juvenil en Profundidad (Deep Youth Pastorate). Both servants will be training district presidents, councils, field and regional leaders on the theme “Training in Youth Ministry”<\/p>\n

Howard Andruejol<\/strong><\/a> :<\/strong> With over 15 years of experience in youth ministry, he has facilitated youth training and projects for leaders in different cities of Latin America and today is the Director of Youth Specialties Institute in Guatemala. He is also the Executive Editor of the Youth Leadership magazine. Brother Howard will train young people on issues of culture, service, and other strategies.<\/p>\n

Totin<\/strong><\/a> a charismatic animator will be encouraging and giving a cheerful touch to the event.<\/p>\n

The preachers of the word of God will be:<\/strong> Dr. Jerry Porter, Dr. Verne Ward III, Dr. Carlos Saenz, Dr. Leonel de Le\u00f3n, Rev. Gary Hartke and other great servants of God.<\/p>\n
