{"id":23322,"date":"2015-03-19T16:58:36","date_gmt":"2015-03-19T22:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mesoamericaregion.org\/es\/?p=23322"},"modified":"2015-03-19T17:25:34","modified_gmt":"2015-03-19T23:25:34","slug":"major-changes-in-mesoamerica-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/major-changes-in-mesoamerica-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Major Changes in Mesoamerica Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since the creation of the Mesoamerica Region, we have made changes in its structure, allowing for better functionality as mission facilitators in light of strategy and economic changes.<\/p>\n<p>At first, the Mesoamerica Region had 6 fields, which were shaped primarily by geographic location or language.It has now become a region of 5 fields seeking to link its development with regional and educational strategies, and it\u2019s needs.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This structure came into effect on October 1, 2014, after being informed to the RAC (Regional Advisory Committee) and approved by the General Board of Superintendents and the Global Mission Director.<\/p>\n<p>The 5 fields are now as follow:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Mexico Field:<\/strong>Before, Mexico was divided into North and South. Now it is united as one field. The Field Strategy Coordinator (FSC) is Dr. Jorge Cordova. They will have two development offices, one in Guadalajara and the otherin Tuxtla, Gutierrez.The theological educational institution serving this field will be SENAMEX.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Haiti Field: <\/strong>Since Haiti is the country in the region with more Nazarene; it will become its own field.The FSC will be the Rev. Pierre Antoine Jacques.The theological educational institution to serve this field will be Haiti Nazarene Theological Seminary.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>North Central Field:<\/strong>Previously named CA-4, it is formed by Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. We changed the name because it was creating confusion with the name of creative access countries.As of January 1, 2015, the new FSC is Rev. Leonel de Le\u00f3n, based in Guatemala City.The theological educational institution serving this field will be the Guatemala Nazarene Theological Seminary.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Central Field:<\/strong> Formed by Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Puerto Rico.We\u2019re working in appointing a FSC in the coming months.
