Leadership Training – Haiti
\n29th \u2013 31st August 2014<\/p>\n

Getting the leaders trained for the progress of the church has always been one of the essential motivations of the Nazarene Church. So, initiated by the Caribbean NYI leadership lead by the NYI coordinator at that time, Monte Cyr; year after year pastors, youth, Sunday school teachers and missionaries from all over Haiti joined themselves together around the theme of Leadership. <\/span><\/div>\n

Again this year from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st of August, at the Haiti Nazarene Campus in Petion-ville, the 8th training on leadership was held, led by the trainer Monte Cyr, Discipleship Ministries Coordinator for the Mesoamerica Region. This training was based on the John Maxwell book: \u201cMillion Leaders Mandate\u201d VOLUME 2, Notebook 2.<\/p>\n

The participants were many who left their district to come to the central district to attend this training. Ten of the eleven districts were there. They were 92 participants to follow the sessions on the theme: \u201cWINNING WITH PEOPLE\u201d. There were 13 leaders from NMI. 16 from leaders from SDMI and 63 leaders from NYI to think for hours about potentialities and possibilities of a leader and how to treat people around him.<\/p>\n

Our Speaker Rev. Monte Cyr, a tireless and devoted leader for the development of the Haitian leaders, proved one more time his motivation to get every participant involved in the commentaries, questions and suggestions in order to better understand and assimilate the notion of \u201cWINNING WITH PEOPLE\u201d<\/p>\n

This was also a profitable time for the Nazarene Church\u2019s Ministries in Haiti. The three different ministries NMI, SDMI and NYI had a meeting with their leaders separately for the progress of those ministries. Many good decisions were taken. And as it is for NYI, we hope that the other ministries like SDMI and NYI will have a national coordinator for a better job.<\/p>\n

That was an unforgettable event. There was training, worship, discussions etc\u2026 Everything was for the development of the Nazarene Church in Haiti to the glory of God.<\/p>\n

We will not cease to thank the Lord for his grace over the Nazarene Church in Haiti. By his grace, He gives the opportunity to all those leaders to participate in those sessions.<\/p>\n

Many thanks go to Monte Cyr who continues to work for the welfare of the Haitian leaders. We thank also the NYI French field coordinator Rev. Pierre Ornan Audain and the NYI National Coordinator Pastor Ketsia Audain for their devotions and their interest for the Haitians Nazarenes progress. We thank also the members of the trainings committee (Ms. Yverose Diogene, Pastor Ketsia Audain, Pastor Sile Rene, Pastor Piard Alc\u00e9gaire, Rev. Pierre Ornan Audain and Pastor Pierre Ernst Jacques), The members of the National NYI council and the interpreters ( Mr. Absolu Kesner, Mr. Marc Versil, Rev. Pierre Ornan Audain et Pastor Pierre Ernst Jacques) for their great job.<\/p>\n
