{"id":21492,"date":"2014-11-12T14:24:55","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T20:24:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mesoamericaregion.org\/es\/?p=21492"},"modified":"2014-11-12T14:30:57","modified_gmt":"2014-11-12T20:30:57","slug":"leaders-on-antigua-complete-discipleship-training-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/en\/leaders-on-antigua-complete-discipleship-training-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Leaders in Antigua Complete Discipleship Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"id_5463c332bbfca1237243344\" class=\"text_exposed_root text_exposed\">Twenty-six Leaders representing the seven local churches on the Antigua Zone of the Leeward\/ Virgin Islands District of the Church of the Nazarene recently completed training as facilitator<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">s of the Discipleship Evangelism programme. Facilitated by Rev. Dexter Daly from Trinidad &amp; Tobago, the Trainers\u2019 Workshop on Saturday 13 September 2014 was preceded by three days of introductory training attended by more than seventy members from the various Churches.<br \/>\n<!--more-->Leaders who attended the Training described it as \u201cchallenging\u201d, \u201clife changing\u201d and \u201ctruly important if one was to obey the Great Commission of our Lord\u201d. Coordinator of the event, English Field Evangelism Director and District Evangelism Board Chair, Rev. Christopher Weekes, said he was extremely happy with the support and participation of the Churches and expressed the hope that the training would be put to good use. Rev. Weekes opined that \u201cintentional discipleship was a critical ingredient of any healthy Church and provided the foundation for real growth, numerically and spiritually\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Leeward Virgin Islands District Superintendent and host church Pastor, Reverend Dr. Kenneth Sharpe described the training as \u201ctimely and relevant\u201d, since Churches were gearing up for a week of Crusades with Dr. Samuel Vassel\u201d.
