Three preaching points, Colihaut, Louisville and Silverlake, continue to develop and progress towards \u201corganized church\u201d status. Recently 10 children from Silverlake were dedicated to the Lord in a capacity crowd at Bath Estate church. <!--more-->Pastor Catherine St. Rose announced that a baptism will take place shortly with 16 in New Believer\u2019s classes, all of them from Silverlake. At Colihaut a prayer rally was held at the park in the center of the village. Praise music and prayer filled the air as the various needs of the people of Colihaut were lifted up to the Lord. All district churches were involved in the rally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CNC Extensio<\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mesoamericaregion.org\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/loc_dominica.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11180\" alt=\"loc_dominica\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mesoamericaregion.org\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/loc_dominica-300x239.gif\" width=\"300\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/loc_dominica-300x239.gif 300w, https:\/\/www.mesonaz.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/loc_dominica.gif 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><strong>n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Dominica Campus of Caribbean Nazarene College Extension continues to offer new classes to pastors and leaders on the district. Recent class offerings include Pastoral Counseling, the Pentateuch and The Heritage of the Church of the Nazarene. Two of our pastors are making plans to be ordained at the 2015 district assembly. These would be the first pastors ordained in Dominica. Please pray with us that the necessary classes will be completed in order for this historic event to take place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Pastor for the Bataca Church<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Rev. Ed and Carrie Nichols will arrive in Dominica February 25 from the Oregon Pacific District. Ed just completed a pastorate of 21 years on the district. Pastor Ed and Carrie\u2019s primary responsibility will be to pastor our largest church, Bataca, in Kalinago Territory. Ed will be speaking at the Carnival Camp to be held March 1-5 at the Ocean view Nazarene Retreat Center in Castle Bruce, Dominica.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Teenagers and young adults from across the district are invited to leave the \u201cCarnival atmosphere\u201d of the village and retreat to the campground for spiritual renewal and Christian fellowship.
